| Jr. Thespians | The International Thespian Society (ITS), Is an honorary organization that honors student achievement in the theatre arts. Students involved in this club are inducted either in the Winter or the Spring. Students participate in the annual murder mystery, inductions, and lead activities during Drama Club and other theater events. | Mrs. Burton |
| Literary Magazine | Students design, create, contribute original poetry, prose, stories and artwork to a book that is published in the spring. | Dr. Wyatt |
| Magic, The Gathering | Students learn how to play this card game and enhance their skills. | Mr. Crown |
| MathCounts | A nationwide middle school mathematics competition held in various places in the United States. Its founding sponsors include the CNA Foundation, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. | Mrs. Vuckovic |
| Musical | Students practice, rehearse and perform a spring play. Opportunities for students to participate as actors and/or crew | Mrs. Burton |
| National Junior Honor Society | An honorary organization that recognizes and encourages academic achievement while developing the ideals of character, service, leadership and citizenship for 7th and 8th Graders. Five service hours and monthly meetings are required. | Mrs. Grant |
| Pride Club | Pride club is open to anyone who is a part of, or supportive (allies) of the LGBTQIA+ community and wants Highland to be a more inclusive and supportive space. | Mrs. Burton |
| Science Olympiad/Engineer: | Students participate in a team competition in which students compete in 23 events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. | Mrs. Oshinski |
| Speech Club/Forensics | Students are introduced to a variety of selections, some are famous and some are not. Students select a piece that will be 4-8 minutes in length and important to them. Registration is now open for D70 Summer School.
Summer School will run from 8:15 to 11:45 a.m. on Monday through Thursday, from June 20 through July 20 at Copeland Manor School.
