23-24 School Year

  1. Work with our sub-committee of students to enhance the student incident reporting system and gather input from students regarding the culture and climate of the school.

22-23 School Year

  1. Review the Parent-Student Handbook and the bullying reporting system with our community stakeholders (parents, students, and staff).
  2. Meet with various stakeholders to review student incident reporting system.

21-22 School Year

  1. Review the Parent-Student Handbook and the bullying reporting system with our community stakeholders (parents, students, and staff).

20-21 School Year

  1. Meet with the District-wide Extra Duty Committee to address job descriptions to include equity and inclusion language into job descriptions for HMS Department Coordinators and Team Leader positions
  2. Explore and assess the rules and procedures in the handbook as they relate to equity and inclusion

 

Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards

In December of 2020, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) implemented new teaching standards to better serve diverse populations of students.
