Initiatives for the HMS Equity & Inclusion Committee 

 

Initiatives for the HMS Equity & Inclusion Committee in the area of Professional Development:

 

23-24 School Year

  1. The members of the committee will facilitate 6 different Professional Development sessions for staff related to the Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards. 

22-23 School Year

  1. Develop and share mini-lessons on E&I for staff during team meetings and staff meetings.
  2. Continue to look for potential speakers at staff meetings.

21-22 School Year

  1. The E&I Committee will preview PD activities for staff at HMS.  The E&I Committee plans to present to staff 4 or more times before the end of the school year. 
  2. In addition, the E&I committee will explore and secure potential speakers for staff regarding Equity & Inclusion.

20-21 School Year

  1. Share resources for future use within the E&I Committee and HMS Staff
  2. Provide Summer Professional Development Opportunities for staff members in the areas of equity and inclusion
